I still remember the first night I went out there; standing outside, I was immediately at ground zero. Suffice it to say, this is next-level convenience.
Hassle-free Stay at Apartments Size of a House
If you have ever spent time at Citadines Intime City Hangzhou 380 Fen Tan Road, then you know that it is not really a hotel but staying in an apartment with all of the comforts of home away from home which is very important whenever traveling for extended periods. That was a huge draw for me personally. I was here for a week or two, and my studio had everything you could need/want.
Kitted out kitchen ( I did cook myself a few comforting meals! ) And hang out in a fucking living room where I could relax and catch up on TV (the apartment had everything). The bed? Incredibly comfortable! After all those days wondering about the West Lake or getting lost in Hangzhou streets, nothing was better than falling on that soft bed.
A Community Vibe — Connect with Fellow Travelers
The real fun part is Citadines Intime City Hangzhou 380 Fen Tan Road, which isn’t just a stay – it’s an opportunity to mingle with people from all over the world! What I love about serviced apartments is that you meet other travellers and this place was no different.
I was at a community event in the large lounge one night. So we played board games, talked about China adventures and exchanged travel tips. While its not like your able to build real connections when travelling, for some reason here the vibe is conducive towards friendship. The staff even held a night where we made dumplings! Never thought of kneading dough with fellow travelers and savoring the dumplings together would be so much excitement.
Local hotspots, directly from your doorstep
Then comes one most impressive aspect of Citadines Intime City Hangzhou 380 Fen Tan Road this boutique residence – its location to the local applications. Within a short drive lies some of the best Hangzhou has to offer – and West Lake is one sight you simply cannot miss.
On one fine morning, I rented a bike and cycled down to West Lake. This ride was only about 20 minutes, but this lake is honestly nothing short of magical to bike around — the water sparkling on my left as pagodas dotting the landscape beside me. West Lake deserves all the hype it gets.
And being at 380 Fen Tan Road also offered me easy access to all the action on the curb. I got wildly lost one night (my favorite way to get lost) in Hefang Street and tried every kind of street food they had. My favorite? The stinky tofu! I know, I know — not everybody can do this, but if you are in Hangzhou…
Ease of Transportation
The access to public transportation is a huge and essential benefit of Citadines Intime City Hangzhou 380 Fen Tan Road. It was a few minutes from the metro station so traveling around the city was extremely easy. The Amenities: A Stay Is Just The Beginning
When I say that the Citadines Intime City Hangzhou – 380 Fen Tan Road – has an awesome amenity, it means what it says. Great for making long stays at home a breeze and short visits seem special. For starters, the gym is definitely a big thing. As someone who loves fitness, having a fully stocked gym right downstairs was incredible. The early morning, the gym down in 2 minutes and breakfast in my pajamas in my tiny kitchen— I almost felt at home.
And those laundry facilities! So I didn’t have to go search for a laundromat, which is such a huge plus when traveling for any length of time. The complimentary Wi-Fi was strong enough to video call home, and even do some work when I had to.
The Incredible Food Scene Nearby
It’s food of course — the mortal delight, and at 380 Fen Tan Road I was allured with options. Next door were the Korean hotpot and dim sum outlets inside Intime City Mall but there is also a variety of food—Chinese hotpot to international cuisines. I feel I would have pretty much enjoyed any dumpling therefore, none the wiser. If you walk a little bit further, there is also an amazing noodle shop. Holy hell, that was the best bowl of beef noodles I had ever eaten.
If you enjoy fine dining, the best Hangzhou style restaurants are also just a 10-minute drive away. Dongpo pork, anyone? It was incredibly tender, juicy and flavorful! And the staff at Citadines had some killer tips as to where to go — places you wouldn’t necessarily find scouring Google.
Understanding the Hangzhou Culture
The benefit of staying at Citadines Intime City Hangzhou 380 Fen Tan Road was that it allowed me to experience some local culture in Hangzhou as well. I enjoyed going to the local Chinese Tea Museum and hearing about tea history. Tea is deeply rooted in the local culture and visiting the tea fields, plus having a tasting session was truly memorable.
The Citadines staff even helped us book a day trip to a nearby tea plantation where we picked tea leaves and learnt how the locals dry the tea the old-fashioned way. What an experience, and I came away with a bag of just-harvested green tea to take home!
